Will be put in complete.This function is requested by the Italian Regional team for a new tender for one of their largest accounts, Postel The customer is currently using AFPMerge SW to batch small AFP jobs together and avoid performance issues (stop/start) when printing. This has to do with the old AFP architecture back-and-forth messaging and acks which affect performances, (FYI, Ocè never had that limitation…).The problem is: All future AFP jobs will nest PDF multi-page objects within AFP and must use MDR(map data resource) structured fields, but those MDR fields are not supported by AFPMerge, as stated in AFPMerge User’s guide. This means AFP files won’t be printed on whatever printer we send to, thus we are in danger with our new printer deal at Postel (CF + CS printers).
